Evan Doyle, WHS Director of Bands
Evan Doyle joined the Westborough High School Faculty in the fall of 2014. Prior to that, he taught in the Houston, TX area for 7 years. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Doyle is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he was fortunate to have learned from George Parks, Lynn Klock, Malcolm Rowell, and Lanfranco Marceletti. He also has a graduate degree from Western Carolina University, where his assistantship included working with the "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band, the Wind Ensemble, and the saxophone studio. Among his mentors at WCU were John West, Bob Buckner and Matt Henley.
Mr. Doyle is also one of the lead clinicians for the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy. Through DMA, he is fortunate to work with over one thousand high school and college student leaders each summer, helping them to develop the conducting, teaching, and leadership skills necessary to serve as leaders of their bands.
Mr. Doyle currently resides in Sutton with his wife, Avery, and their two lovely daughters.
Mr. Doyle is also one of the lead clinicians for the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy. Shiva Pabbathi, RMB assistant director
Praised as "a versatile musician" and "a creative educator", Shiva Pabbathi, an alumnus of WHS, is the Assistant Band Director for the Westborough High School Ranger Marching Band. Over his professional career, Shiva has appeared as drum major of the Ranger Marching Band, and Field Staff of the UMass Minuteman Marching Band. He has also worked as the director of the Millbury Summer Community Band, and has coached conductors for the UMass Minuteman Minute Band.
In addition to his work in the wind/marching band space, Shiva has appeared as a soloist in the UNH SYMS Honors Recital and a UMass Senior Recital. Additionally, he served as the president of the UMass Collegiate National Association for Music Education. He has also music-directed the UMass Theatre Guild's production of Seussical the Musical. Most recently, he worked as a music counselor for The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp where he taught rock band and piano classes.
Shiva has been awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, the Westborough Community Chorus Scholarship, and has achieved the Eagle Scout Rank.
In his free time, Shiva bakes and plays chess, pickleball, and video games with his family and friends
